Spirit-Led Mama | Emotional Regulation, Present Mom, God’s Peace, Biblical Encouragement, Motherhood
Are you tired of overreacting to your kids in the moment and then drowning in guilt afterwards because you yelled again? Lying in bed at night wondering what kind of mother you were today? Have you been trying your best but still feel like you’re falling short? Do you wish you could be present, peaceful, and intentional with your family?
Friend, this podcast is for you.
The Spirit-Led Mama is where overwhelmed and reactive moms get grounded in God, break free from guilt, and learn to show up intentionally in motherhood. Every episode will bring you biblical truth, honest conversation, and practical tools to help you stop striving, find your footing, and grow into the mom God created you to be.
Because guilt isn’t the problem - its the symptom. Lasting change doesn’t come from trying harder- it comes from remembering who God says you are.
I'm Jonetta Alberta — and I know that cycle because I lived it. The fatigue. The rushing. The reacting. The yelling and fussing over everything and nothing at the same time. The "I'll do better tomorrow" that never quite came.
I wasn't failing because I didn't love my kids — I was failing because I didn't know who I was. The moment I discovered my identity in Christ, began healing what was keeping me stuck, and stopped trying to lead motherhood in my own strength, everything changed. I went from reactive and emotionally overwhelmed to grounded,, intentional, and Spirit-led.
And mama, it can change for you too..
So if you're ready to get grounded in God, break the guilt cycle, and show up intentionally in motherhood, hit subscribe and come home. Because the Spirit-led mama your family has been waiting for? She's already inside you.
Grab your favorite cup of coffee or tea, open your Bible and your heart, and let's wake her up. 🤍

Have you ever prayed, "God, I'm giving this to You," only to find yourself carrying it again a few hours later?
Maybe you've been holding onto worry, guilt, fear, or the pressure to keep everything together. You know God invites you to cast your cares on Him... but if you're honest, letting go feels harder than you expected.
In this episode, I'm sharing the second rhythm of my morning time with the Father and the gentle invitation He's been teaching me. Together, we'll discover why release isn't something we force, how trust grows in the Father's embrace, and why opening our hands to the Father makes room for His peace, grace, and presence.

Tomorrow morning, I want to invite you to go a little deeper.
Before you begin thinking about the day...
Before you reach for your to-do list...
Before you ask God for anything...
Take a moment to simply sit in the Father's embrace.
Take a deep breath.
Whisper,
"Good morning, Father."
And just be with Him.
After you've spent a few moments in His presence, ask Him what He wants to carry with you today.
Don't rush.
Trust Him enough to show you.
Then open your hands, one burden at a time, and allow the Father to carry what you were never meant to carry alone.
Conversation with the Father
Father,
As I sit with You today, what am I carrying that You never intended for me to carry alone?
Is there something I've been holding onto because I'm afraid to trust You with it?
Would You help me open my hands and receive the peace that comes from placing my burdens into Yours?
Remember, Mama…
You don't have to carry the weight of today by yourself.
You have a Father who welcomes you into His embrace, grows your trust, and lovingly carries what was never meant to rest on your shoulders.
Until next time... stay grounded, Mama.

This week, don't worry about creating the perfect quiet time.
Instead, simply begin here.
Before reaching for your phone... Before your to-do list... Before the day begins asking something from you...
Turn your heart toward the Father.
Maybe all you say is,
"Good morning, Father."
Then take a deep breath and receive His embrace.
Don't rush ahead.
Just begin with fellowship.
Conversation with the Father
Father,
What have I believed about spending time with You that You want to replace with truth?
What would it look like for me to simply come to You as Your daughter this week?
What are You inviting me to receive from You each morning before I pour myself out for others?
Remember, Mama…
You don't have to strive your way into becoming a better mom.
Stay grounded in who God says you are.
Until next time... stay grounded, Mama.

Conversation with the Father
Instead of asking yourself, "How can I try harder today?" ask a different question.
"Jesus, how are You inviting me to remain with You today?"
Then don't rush to answer it yourself.
Sit quietly for a few moments.
Open John 15 and slowly read verses 1–5.
Pay attention to any word or phrase that stands out to you.
Then ask Him:
"Jesus, where have I been drawing life from instead of You?"
"What am I carrying that You never asked me to carry?"
"What would it look like for me to remain with You today?"
Write down whatever He places on your heart.
Maybe He's inviting you to rest.
Maybe He's inviting you to slow down.
Maybe He's simply inviting you to receive His love again.
This week, don't worry about producing more fruit.
Just stay connected to the Vine.
Remember, Mama…
You don't have to strive your way into becoming a better mom.
Stay grounded in who God says you are.
Until next time... stay grounded, Mama.

Do you ever feel like you never quite measure up as a mom?
Have you ever looked around at other moms and quietly wondered “Why can’t I be more like them?”
Comparison has a way of convincing us that we're falling behind, not doing enough, or somehow missing what everyone else seems to have figured out.
In this episode, we'll answer the question, "Why do I feel like a failure as a mom?" Together, we'll uncover the lie behind comparison and discover how the Father's voice gently redirects our eyes away from measuring ourselves against others and back to Christ—where our identity, worth, and confidence are found.
Scriptures Mentioned
Romans 8:29: For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Conversation with the Father
Spend a few quiet moments with the Father this week in an area where you feel like you’re failing.
Pause. Take a breath. You do not have to rush past what you’re feeling or try to make it sound better. Simply be honest with Him.
Where do I believe I’m failing?
Write down what comes to mind without judging or correcting it.
Father, what am I comparing myself to?
Is it another mom?An expectation someone placed on you?A picture of motherhood you created in your own mind?
Father, what are You saying to me instead?
Sit quietly and write down what He brings to your heart.
Open His Word.
Spend time with Him. Listen for His voice, and allow Him to redirect your eyes away from comparison and back to Christ.
Remember, Mama…
You don't have to strive your way into becoming a better mom.
Stay grounded in who God says you are.
Until next time... stay grounded, Mama.

Welcome to Episode 1 of The Spirit-Led Mama. I'm so glad you're here.
Have you ever laid in bed replaying the day, wishing you had responded differently to your child?
Maybe you promised yourself tomorrow would be different...only to find yourself caught in the same cycle again.
In this episode, we're uncovering the hidden cycle so many Christian moms live in: reacting, regretting, carrying guilt, and trying harder the next day. You'll discover why guilt alone never produces lasting change, the difference between conviction and condemnation, and how God's invitation leads you toward healing instead of shame. If you've ever found yourself asking, "Why do I keep doing this?" this episode is for you.
Scriptures Mentioned
Romans 8:1: There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 7:10: For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.

Conversation with the Father
Spend some time with the Father this week by reflecting on these questions in your journal
Tonight, before you go to bed, take five minutes and journal these questions:
What triggered me today?
What was I feeling underneath the reaction?
What truth does God say about me in this situation?
Then spend a few minutes praying and inviting God into that moment.
Remember, Mama…
You don't have to strive your way into becoming a better mom.
Stay grounded in who God says you are.
Until next time... stay grounded, Mama.
